How Split Systems Work.
The system works exactly like a split air conditioner, but in reverse. Heat is extracted outside and pumped directly into your indoor water tank.
Evaporate
Warm ambient air is pulled into the outdoor unit. The refrigerant absorbs this free heat inside the outdoor evaporator coil.
Compress
The outdoor compressor violently squeezes the warm refrigerant gas, drastically boosting its pressure and temperature.
Transfer
The super-heated gas travels through copper pipes into your home and circulates through the Micro Channel Exchanger wrapped around the tank.
Condense
The heat is transferred into the water. The cooled refrigerant passes through the expansion valve and returns outside to repeat the cycle.

In a Mono Block, the entire system (compressor and heat exchanger) is outdoors, and water pipes run into your house. In a Split System, the compressor is outdoors, but the water tank is indoors. Copper refrigerant pipes connect the two.
Because the compressor is located outside (like an AC unit), the indoor water tank operates in absolute, whisper-quiet silence.
Instead of a traditional coil inside the water, the Micro Channel Exchanger is wrapped entirely around the outside of the inner tank. This increases the heating surface area, improves efficiency (COP > 4.0), and eliminates any risk of the refrigerant mixing with your drinking water.
